Dr. Yashar is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who has become a trusted and recognized leader in Los Angeles and the greater Southern California communities. Known for his skill, precision, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Yashar specializes in spinal surgery, cranial procedures, and interventional neurosurgical techniques.
The son of an LAUSD educator and an engineer, Dr. Yashar is deeply rooted in the Los Angeles area. He graduated from the Medical Magnet Program at Van Nuys High School and went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Cybernetics with High Honors and Departmental Distinction, along with a Minor in Education Studies.
After graduating summa cum laude from UCLA, Dr. Yashar earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at The Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago. He then completed his surgical internship at Montefiore Medical Center, part of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Yashar returned to Los Angeles to complete his residency in Neurological Surgery at LAC+USC Medical Center/Keck School of Medicine, one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation. During residency, he was selected for an elite Endovascular Neurosurgery Fellowship at the University at Buffalo (UBNS), where he trained under world-renowned neurosurgeons Dr. L. Nelson Hopkins, Dr. Elad I. Levy, and Dr. Adnan H. Siddiqui.
